Jonathan “Jon” Whipple, age 49, of Columbus passed away April 11, 2009, at his residence surrounded by family and friends.

Jon was born and raised in Berea, OH. He was a graduate of Berea High School, Class of 1977, and attended Ohio University, graduating in 1982 with a degree in Organizational Communications.

He was a born salesman and always had a joke to tell. He was a huge fan of all Cleveland sports, including the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers. He loved to fix things and always seemed to have projects going on.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Emily “Jump” Whipple. He is survived by loving wife of 25 years, Amy Whipple; children, Emily and Grant Whipple; brothers, Christopher (Krista) and Timothy; sister, Elizabeth (Frank); the Jump family, including aunts, uncles, and 11 cousins; Whipple nieces and nephew; and John and Rochelle Caddey family.
