Miss Vera Corethia Mae Downs, 22, of Berea, Ohio, formerly of Athens, Alabama, died Monday in Ohio.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis “Gene” Downs of Berea; three brothers, Clinton Downs of the U.S. Air Force, England, and Lewis Downs and Andrew Downs, both of Berea; her grandparents, Mrs. Vera Marshall of Athens, Lewis A. Downs of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Baker of Athens; and her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McBay of Scottsboro.
